✧ I asked Nafi' b. 'Utbah b. Abi Waqqas, "Tell me, did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention the Dajjal?" He said, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while there were people from the West with him who had come to him to submit to him, wearing wool. When I drew near to him, I heard him say: 'You will invade the Arabian Peninsula, and Allah will grant you victory over it. Then you will invade Persia, and Allah will grant you victory over it. Then you will invade Byzantium, and Allah will grant you victory over it. Then you will invade the Dajjal, and Allah will grant you victory over him.'"

machine translationʿAbd al-Malik b. ʿUmayr narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī narrated it from ʿAbd al-Malik, from Jābir b. Samurah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Others narrate it from ʿAbd al-Malik b. ʿUmayr, from Jābir b. Samurah, from his maternal uncle Nāfiʿ b. ʿUtbah b. Abī Waqqāṣ, and this is the correct (ṣawāb) version.
