✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to me one day from a funeral in Al-Baqi' while I had a headache. I said, "O Rasulullah, my head is hurting." He replied, "Rather, it is my head that is hurting." Then he said, "What harm would it do to you if you were to die before me, then I would wash you, shroud you, pray over you, and bury you?" I said, "Because I fear that if you did that, you would return to my house and marry one of your other wives." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled, then he began to experience the pain in which he eventually passed away.
