أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقُولُ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ رِيحٍ أَوْ غَيْمٍ عُرِفَ ذَلِكَ فِي وَجْهِهِ وَأَقْبَلَ وَأَدْبَرَ فَإِذَا مَطَرَتْ سُرَّ بِهِ وَذَهَبَ ذَلِكَ عَنْهُ فَسُئِلَ فقَالَ ﷺ «إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَذَابًا سُلِّطَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي»

✧ When there was a day of wind or clouds, that could be recognized on the Prophet's face ﷺ, and he would turn and pace. When it rained, he rejoiced and that went away from him. He was asked, and he ﷺ said: 'I feared that it might be a punishment sent upon my nation.'
