أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرَ مُكْرَمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُونِي فَأَنَا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَسَيَأْتِي رِجَالٌ وَنِسَاءٌ بِآنِيَةٍ وَقِرَبٍ ثُمَّ لَا يَذُوقُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “I am your forerunner before you. If you do not find me, then I will be at the Pool, [whose distance is] as between Ayla and Makkah. Men and women will come with vessels and water-skins, but they will not taste anything from it.”
