Sahih Ibn Hibban 6442

✧ Mentioning that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to engage in the profession of his family when he entered his house.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا وَلَا مُتَفَحِّشًا وَكَانَ يَقُولُ » خِيَارُكُمْ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا

Translation

✧ Indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not obscene nor one who made others obscene, and he used to say: “The best of you are those with the best character.”
