قَالَ فَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ كَمَثَلِ قَصْرٍ أُحْسِنَ بُنْيَانُهُ وَتُرِكَ مِنْهُ مَوْضِعُ لَبِنَةٍ فَطَافَ بِهِ نُظَّارٌ فَتَعَجَّبُوا مِنْ حُسْنِ بُنْيَانِهِ إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ تِلْكَ اللَّبِنَةِ لَا يَعِيبُونَ غَيْرَهَا فَكُنْتُ أَنَا مَوْضِعَ تِلْكَ اللَّبِنَةِ خُتِمَ بِيَ الرُّسُلُ»
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "My likeness and the likeness of the prophets is that of a palace whose construction was made excellent and from which the place of one brick was left. Onlookers walked around it and marveled at its excellent construction except for the place of that brick; they faulted nothing besides it. I was the place of that brick; the messengers were sealed with me."
