أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ وَكَانَ أَجْوَدَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَحِينَ يَلْقَى جِبْرِيلَ وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَلْقَاهُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَيُدَارِسُهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ يَلْقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during the month of Ramadan and when Jibril met him. Jibril used to meet him every night of Ramadan and study the Quran with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more generous with good than the sent wind when Jibril met him.
