✧ “A man committed a sin and said, ‘O Lord, I have committed a sin’—or he said, ‘I have done a deed’—’so forgive me.’ He, Blessed and Exalted, said, ‘My servant committed a sin and knew that he has a Lord who forgives sin and takes to account for it. I have forgiven My servant.’ Then he committed another sin—or he said, ‘he did another sin’—and said, ‘Lord, I have done a sin, so forgive me.’ He, Blessed and Exalted, said, ‘My servant knew that he has a Lord who forgives sin and takes to account for it. I have forgiven My servant.’ Then he did another sin—or he committed another sin—and said, ‘Lord, I have done a sin, so forgive me.’ Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said, ‘My servant knew that he has a Lord who forgives sin and takes to account for it. I call you to witness that I have forgiven My servant. Let him do as he wishes.’”
