أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ عَجْلَانَ مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
ذَكَرُوا الْفَرَحَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرُوا الضَّالَّةَ يَجِدُهَا الرَّجُلُ فقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الضَّالَّةِ يَجِدُهَا الرَّجُلُ بِأَرْضِ الْفَلَاةِ»

✧ They mentioned joy in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they mentioned a lost animal that a man finds. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah is more intensely joyful at the repentance of one of you than the lost animal that a man finds in a desolate land.”
