أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَوْ جَاءَنِي الدَّاعِي الَّذِي جَاءَ إِلَى يُوسُفَ لَأَجَبْتُهُ وَقَالَ لَهُ ارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى لُوطٍ إِنْ كَانَ لَيَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ لَوْ أَنَّ لِيَ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ فَمَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ بَعْدَهُ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا فِي ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ»

✧ "If the caller who came to Joseph had come to me, I would have answered him, and He said to him: 'Return to your lord and ask him what was the matter with the women who cut their hands.' And may the mercy of Allah be upon Lot. He would indeed seek shelter in a strong support when he said to his people, 'If only I had strength against you or could seek shelter in a strong support.' And Allah sent no prophet after him except in a numerous clan of his people."
