أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ النَّاسَ نَزَلُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْحِجْرَ أَرْضَ ثَمُودَ فَاسْتَقَوْا مِنْ آبَارِهَا وَعَجَنُوا بِهِ الْعَجِينَ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنَ يُهْرِيقُوا مَا اسْتَقَوْا وَأَنْ يَعْلِفُوا الْإِبِلَ الْعَجِينَ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقُوا مِنَ الْبِئْرِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَرِدُهَا النَّاقَةُ

✧ The people camped with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Hijr, the land of Thamud, and they drew water from its wells and kneaded dough with it. He ordered them to pour out what they had drawn and to feed the dough to the camels, and he ordered them to draw water from the well which the she-camel used to come to.
