أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ طِبَاقَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَجَعَلَ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْهَا رَحْمَةً فَبِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوَالِدَةُ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا وَالْوَحْشُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا وَأَخَّرَ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْمَلَهَا بِهَذِهِ الرَّحْمَةِ مِائَةً»

Translation

✧ “Verily Allah created, on the day He created the heavens and the earth, one hundred mercies, each filling the space between the heavens and the earth. He placed in the earth one mercy from them, by which the mother shows compassion to her child and wild beasts show compassion to one another, and He deferred ninety-nine until the Day of Resurrection. So when it is the Day of Resurrection, He will complete them with this mercy to one hundred.”
