أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى بِالْمَوْصِلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرُّقَى وَلِي خَالٌ يَرْقِي مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade incantations. I have a maternal uncle who incants against scorpion stings, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, and he said: 'Whoever of you can benefit his brother, let him do so.'
