أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّهُ قَالَ

«كَلِمَاتٌ لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ بِهِنَّ أَحَدٌ فِي مَجْلِسِ لَغْوٍ أَوْ مَجْلِسِ بَاطِلٍ عِنْدَ قِيَامِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا كَفَّرَتْهُنَّ عَنْهُ وَلَا يَقُولُهُنَّ فِي مَجْلِسِ خَيْرٍ وَمَجْلِسِ ذِكْرٍ إِلَّا خُتِمَ لَهُ بِهِنَّ عَلَيْهِ كَمَا يُخْتَمُ بِالْخَاتَمِ عَلَى الصَّحِيفَةِ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ»

✧ Words that no one speaks in a gathering of idle talk or a gathering of falsehood upon his rising three times except that they expiate it for him, and he does not say them in a gathering of good and a gathering of remembrance except that it is sealed for him with them as a seal is placed upon a page: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise. There is no deity except You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.'
