أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ هِلَالٍ الصَّدَفِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ «أُمِرْتُ بِيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى عِيدًا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لِهَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ» فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ لَمْ أَجِدْ إِلَّا مَنِيحَةَ أُنْثَى أَفَأُضَحِّي بِهَا؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنْ تَأْخُذُ مِنْ شَعْرِكَ وَتُقَلِّمُ أَظْفَارَكَ وَتَحْلِقُ عَانَتَكَ وَتَقُصُّ شَارِبَكَ فَذَلِكَ تَمَامُ أُضْحِيَتِكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to a man: "I was commanded with the Day of Sacrifice as an Eid that Allah made for this community." The man said: "What do you think if I find only a female manihah (lent milking animal); should I sacrifice it?" He said: "No, but you should take from your hair, trim your nails, shave your pubic area, and clip your moustache; that is the completion of your sacrifice with Allah."
