أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جُحَيْفَةَ وَهْبًا السُّوَائِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ

أَنَّ خَالِيَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «شَاتُكَ شَاةُ لَحْمٍ وَلَيْسَ مِنَ النُّسُكِ فِي شَيْءٍ» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَعِنْدِي عَنَاقٌ جَذَعَةٌ هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُسِنَّةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تُوفِي عَنْكَ وَلَا تُوفِي عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ»

✧ My maternal uncle slaughtered before the Prophet ﷺ prayed, so the Prophet ﷺ said: "Your sheep is a meat sheep, not part of the sacrifice in any way." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have a jadha'ah kid that is better than a musinnah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It will be fulfilled for you, but it will not be fulfilled for anyone after you."
