أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا أَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَسَمْتُهَا فَبَقِيَ مِنْهَا عَتُودٌ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me sheep to distribute among his companions. I distributed them, and a young goat remained. I mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'Sacrifice it yourself.'
