أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَحَوْلَهُ ثَلَاثُ مِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ صَنَمًا فَجَعَلَ يَطْعُنُهَا بِعُودٍ كَانَ مَعَهُ وَيَقُولُ «جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque, and around it were three hundred and sixty idols. He began striking them with a stick he had with him and saying: “The truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish.”
