أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَافِعٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
«كَانَ اسْمُ زَيْنَبَ بَرَّةَ فَقَالُوا تُزَكِّي نَفْسَهَا فَسَمَّاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَيْنَبَ»
