✧ What is disliked from speech and what is not disliked?

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِنَ الْعَبْدَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مَا يَتَثَبَّتُ فِيهَا يَنْزِلُ بِهَا فِي النَّارِ أَبْعَدَ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ»

✧ Indeed, a servant may speak a word about which he is not careful, and by it he descends into the Fire farther than the distance between the east and the west.
