أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ
أَنَّهُ أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَرُّوجُ حَرِيرٍ فَلَبِسَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فِيهِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَنَزَعَهُ نَزْعًا شَدِيدًا كَالْكَارِهِ لَهُ وَقَالَ «لَا يَنْبَغِي هَذَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ»

✧ A silk garment was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He wore it, then prayed in it, then after finishing he removed it forcefully, as if disliking it, and said: “This is not appropriate for the righteous.”
