✧ A sheep belonging to Sawda bt. Zam‘a died. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has died,' meaning the sheep. He said: 'Why did you not take its skin?' She said: 'Should we take the skin of a sheep that has died?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allah only said: {Say, “I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden to one who eats it except carrion, or flowing blood”}. There is no harm in your tanning it and benefiting from it.' She said: 'So we sent for it, skinned it, and made it into a waterskin until it wore out.'
