أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي النَّزَّالُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ عَلِيٍّ الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الرَّحْبَةِ قَالَ فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ شَرَابٌ فَأَخَذَهُ فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ وَرَأْسَهُ وَقَدَمَيْهِ ثُمَّ شَرِبَ فَضْلَهُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ نَاسًا يَكْرَهُونَ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوا وَهُمْ قِيَامٌ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعْتُ وَقَالَ «هَذَا وُضُوءُ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ»

✧ We prayed the noon prayer with 'Ali, then we went out to the open area. He called for a vessel containing a drink. He took it, rinsed his mouth, sniffed water, wiped his face, forearms, head, and feet, then drank what was left while standing. Then he said: “Some people dislike drinking while standing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did the same as I have done, and said: ‘This is the ablution of one who has not broken his wudu.’”
