✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon a man of the Ansar, accompanied by a companion. The Prophet ﷺ and his companion greeted, and the man responded, saying: “May my father and mother be your ransom! At such a hot hour!” He said to him: “If you have water that has stood overnight in a waterskin, give it to us to drink; otherwise we will drink directly with our mouths.” The man was diverting water in his garden. He said: “By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I do have water that has stood overnight. Come to the arbor.” He led them to an arbor, poured water into a cup, then milked over it from a domestic animal of his. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank, then he returned to it and the man who had come with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank.
