✧ Sahl said: "We used to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on Friday, then there was the midday rest. There was a woman among us who had a farm where she grew chard. Every Friday, she would pull up the chard roots, put them in a pot, then add a handful of barley that she had ground. The chard became like a broth." Sahl said: "After the Friday prayer we would go to her, greet her, and she would bring that food to us, and we would lap it up." He said: "We used to look forward to Friday for that food of hers."
