✧ Etiquette of eating

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ

نَهَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ شَيْئًا أَوْ يَأْخُذَ بِهَا وَنَهَى أَنْ يَتَنَفَّسَ فِي إِنَائِهِ إِذَا شَرِبَ»

✧ He forbade a man from giving something with his left hand or taking with it, and he forbade breathing into the vessel when drinking.”
