  • Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal

machine translationMaʿmar's narration from al-Zuhrī in the ḥadīth on pre-emption (shufʿah) is good (ḥasan).

  • Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr

machine translationAl-Zuhrī's ḥadīth on pre-emption (shufʿah) is a sound (ṣaḥīḥ) and well-known ḥadīth.

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationWhat I hold is that this much is the speech of the Prophet ﷺ: the Prophet ﷺ only established pre-emption (shufʿah) in what has not been divided at all. It seems that the rest of the statement is the speech of Jābir: "When it is divided and the boundaries have been set, there is no pre-emption." And God knows best.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThe statement of the one who said "from Abū Salamah, from Jābir" is also preserved (maḥfūẓ).
