✧ Whoever kills a soul under covenant without its right, Allah has forbidden Paradise to him, that he should smell its fragrance.

Notes

machine translationAbū Ḥātim said: "The meaning of all these reports, 'He will not enter Paradise,' is that he will not enter a particular paradise, a lesser one than the paradise that is intended, which is the higher and loftier Paradise. He means that whoever does these things, or commits any one of them, Allah has forbidden Paradise to him; or that he will not enter the loftier Paradise, which is entered by one who has not committed those things. For a person attains the ranks in the gardens of Paradise through acts of obedience, and he is lowered from them through the acts of disobedience that he has committed."
