✧ 'A prophet among the prophets went on a raid and said to his people: No man who has married a woman and wants to consummate with her should follow me; nor one who raised a building and has not raised its roof; nor one who bought sheep and awaits their birth. He raided and drew near to the monastery at the time of Asr prayer or close to that, then said to the sun: You are commanded, and I am commanded; O Allah, hold it back for me a while. So it was held back until Allah granted him victory. They gathered what they had taken as spoils, and the fire came to consume it, but the fire refused to eat it. He said: There is some stolen property among you, so let one man from every tribe pledge allegiance to me. They did, and the hand of a man stuck to his hand. He said: The stolen property is among you; let your tribe pledge allegiance to me. His tribe pledged allegiance to him, and the hand of two or three men stuck to his hand. He said: The stolen property is among you. So they brought out a piece of gold like the head of a cow and placed it in the wealth, and it was on the ground. The fire came and consumed it. Spoils were not lawful for anyone before us; and that is because Allah saw our weakness and made them good for us.'
