✧ The Exiting and the Methodology of Jihad

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«كَانَ شِعَارُنَا لَيْلَةَ بَيَّتْنَا فِيهَا هَوَازِنَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَمَّرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَيْنَا أَمِتْ أَمِتْ قَالَ » فَقَتَلْتُ بِيَدِي لَيْلَتَئِذٍ سَبْعَةَ أَهْلِ أَبْيَاتٍ

Translation

✧ "Our war cry on the night we attacked Hawazin with Abu Bakr, whom the Prophet ﷺ appointed over us, was 'Kill! Kill!'" He said: "I killed with my own hand that night seven people of households."
