✧ The Exiting and the Methodology of Jihad

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ الدَّغُولِيُّ بِخَبَرٍ غَرِيبٍ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

«عُرِضْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَلَمْ أَحْتَلِمْ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْنِي ثُمَّ عُرِضْتُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً فَقَبِلَنِي»

✧ I was presented to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud when I was fourteen years old and had not reached puberty, and he did not accept me. Then I was presented to him on the day of the Trench when I was fifteen years old, and he accepted me.
