✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was leading us in prayer, and when he reached the row he said: O Allah, give me the best of what You give Your righteous servants. When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer, he said: «Who was the one speaking just now?» The man said: I, O Messenger of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said: «Then your horse will be hamstrung and you will be martyred in the path of Allah.»

machine translationAl-Darāwardī narrates it from Suhayl b. Abī Ṣāliḥ, from Muḥammad b. Muslim b. ʿĀʾidh, from ʿĀmir b. Saʿd. There is disagreement about al-Darāwardī regarding it: Ibrāhīm b. Ḥamzah, Khālid b. Khidāsh, Muṣʿab al-Zubayrī and others narrated it from al-Darāwardī, from Suhayl, from Muḥammad b. Muslim b. ʿĀʾidh. But Ḍirār b. Ṣurad and al-Ḥimmānī contradicted them, and narrated it from al-Darāwardī, from Suhayl, and said: from Muslim b. ʿĀʾidh. The first statement is more correct (aṣaḥḥ).
