✧ The Virtue of Jihad

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ

أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ سَلْمَانُ وَهُوَ مُرَابِطٌ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا أُجْرِيَ عَلَيْهِ عَمَلُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْمَلُ وَأُومِنَ الْفَتَّانَ وَيَجْرِي عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ»

✧ Salman passed by him while he was standing guard and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever dies standing guard, the deeds he used to perform will continue to be recorded for him, and he will be protected from the two tempters, and his provision will continue to come to him.'"
