✧ I sat among a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, ‘Which of you will go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask him which deeds are most beloved to Allah?’ He said: But we were too awed for any of us to ask him. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for us, singling us out one by one, so that no one else remained. When we gathered before him, some of us gestured to others, ‘Why has he sent for us?’ We were alarmed that something had been revealed about us. He said: «The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited to us: {Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?}» He said: He recited from its beginning to its end.
