✧ Obedience to the Imams

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

«الدِّينُ النَّصِيحَةُ» ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَالُوا لِمَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «لِلَّهِ وَلِكِتَابِهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَوْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَعَامَّتِهِمْ»

✧ "The religion is sincere advice." He said it three times. They said, "To whom, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, the imams of the Muslims—or the believers—and the common people."
