✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among women who were pledging allegiance to him. They said: We pledge allegiance to you, O Messenger of Allah, that we will not associate anything with Allah, and will not steal, and will not commit adultery, and will not kill our children, and will not bring a slander that we fabricate between our hands and feet, and will not disobey you in what is right. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'In what you are able and can bear.' She said: I said: Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. Come, let us pledge allegiance to you, O Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I do not shake hands with women. My word to one hundred women is like my word to one woman, or the like of my word to one woman.'
