✧ He went on an expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before Najd. One day, the midday rest overtook them in a valley with many thorny trees. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted, and the people scattered among the trees to seek shade. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted under a tree and hung his sword on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man with him, "This man drew my sword while I was sleeping. I woke up and it was in his hand. He said to me, 'Who will protect you from me?' I said to him, 'Allah.' He said, 'Who will protect you from me?' I said, 'Allah.' So he sheathed the sword and sat down. Here he is sitting." Then he did not punish him.
