أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ بِحِرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ
أَنَّ غُلَامًا سَرَقَ وَدِيًّا مِنْ حَائِطٍ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِهِ فَقَالَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا قَطَعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ»

✧ A young slave stole a small shoot from a walled garden. He was brought to Marwan, who ordered his hand to be cut off. Rafi' b. Khadij said: The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no amputation for fruit or palm pith."
