✧ The limit of theft

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَا يَسْرِقُ السَّارِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ حِينَ يَشْرَبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَكِنْ أَبْوَابُ التَّوْبَةِ مَعْرُوضَةٌ»

✧ “The thief does not steal when he steals while he is a believer, and he does not drink wine when he drinks it while he is a believer, but the doors of repentance are open.”
