أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ اسْتَفْتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي نَذَرٍ نَذَرَتْهُ أُمُّهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ فَقَالَ «اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا»

✧ Sa'd b. 'Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a vow his mother had made, then she died before fulfilling it. He said, "Fulfill it on her behalf."
