✧ that two brothers from the Ansar had an inheritance between them. One of them asked his companion for the division, and he said: If you ask me again for the division, I will never speak to you, and all my wealth is for the door of the Ka'bah. 'Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ said: The Ka'bah is in no need of your wealth. Expiate your oath and speak to your brother, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: «There is no oath or vow in disobedience, or in severing ties of kinship, or in what you do not own.»

machine translationʿAmr b. Shuʿayb narrated it from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab from ʿUmar. There is disagreement about ʿAmr: Muṭarrif b. Ṭarīf and Ḥabīb al-Muʿallim narrated it from ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab from ʿUmar. ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb also has another chain for it, from his father from his grandfather from the Prophet ﷺ, which al-Muthannā b. al-Ṣabbāḥ and others narrate. It seems that both are sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
in صحيح ابن حبان, p. 4360 - ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī
machine translationSaʿīd b. al-Musayyab's hearing from ʿUmar is not established as sound, so it is broken (munqaṭiʿ).
