أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَثَّ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ فَقَالَ « تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى نَفْسِكِ» قَالَ عِنْدِي آخَرُ قَالَ «تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى وَلَدِكَ» قَالَ عِنْدِي آخَرُ قَالَ «تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى زَوْجَتِكَ» قَالَ عِنْدِي آخَرُ قَالَ «تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى خَادِمِكَ» قَالَ عِنْدِي آخَرُ قَالَ «أَنْتَ أَبْصَرُ»

✧ One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urged charity, and a man said: O Messenger of Allah, I have a dinar. He said: “Give it in charity on yourself.” He said: I have another. He said: “Give it in charity on your child.” He said: I have another. He said: “Give it in charity on your wife.” He said: I have another. He said: “Give it in charity on your servant.” He said: I have another. He said: “You know better.”
