✧ The companionship of married couples

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ وَلَنْ تَصْلُحَ لَكَ عَلَى طَرِيقَةٍ وَإِنِ اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا وَبِهَا عِوَجٌ وَإِنَّ تُرِدْ إِقَامَتَهَا تَكْسِرْهَا وَكَسْرُهَا طَلَاقُهَا»

Translation

✧ “Indeed, woman was created from a rib, and she will never be straight for you in any way. If you enjoy her, you enjoy her while she has a crookedness. And if you try to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.”
