✧ The right of parents

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمَذَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ أَنْ يَسُبَّ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ» قَالَ وَكَيْفَ يَسُبُّ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ؟ قَالَ «يَسُبُّ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ وَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Indeed, among the greatest of major sins is that a man reviles his parents." It was said, "And how does a man revile his parents?" He said, "He reviles a man's father, and so that man reviles his father; and he reviles his mother, and so that man reviles his mother.
