✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intending only Hajj. When we were at Sarif, I menstruated. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me while I was crying and said, "What is the matter with you? Have you started your period?" I said, "Yes." He said, "This is a matter which Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam, so perform whatever the pilgrim performs except that you do not perform tawaf around the House." And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed cows on behalf of his wives.

machine translationThe practice is not in accordance with the hadith of ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah, whether in the past or in the present.
machine translationSomeone else claimed that this is a mistake on the part of ʿUrwah, and that the correct version is the narration of al-Aswad, al-Qāsim and ʿAmrah from her, that she entered the state of iḥrām for Ḥajj alone (ifrād).
