أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ حَيَّانٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَدِمَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ؟ » قَالَ أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَإِنِّي لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْيَ لَحَلَلْتُ»

✧ 'Ali came from Yemen, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "With what did you enter ihram?" He said, "I entered ihram with what the Prophet of Allah ﷺ entered ihram." He said, "If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would exit ihram."
