✧ The Excellence of the City

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
«لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَهَا اللَّهُ مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهَا مِنْهُ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ»
Translation

✧ No one leaves it—meaning al-Madinah—out of aversion for it except that Allah will replace him with one better for it than him. And al-Madinah is better for them, if they only knew.
