أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَأَصَابَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ وَعْكٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَخَرَجَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّمَا الْمَدِينَةُ كَالْكِيرِ تَنْفِي خَبَثَهَا وَيَنْصَعُ طَيِّبُهَا»

✧ A Bedouin gave allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ upon Islam. Then the Bedouin was afflicted with a fever in al-Madinah, so he left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Al-Madinah is only like a bellows: it expels its impurity and its goodness shines forth."
