✧ A Chapter, the Virtue of Makkah

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَلَبِيُّ بِدِمَشْقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ وَإِنَّهُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلَّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ «اقْتُلُوهُ» فَقُتِلَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah on the day of the conquest with a helmet on his head. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah." He said: "Kill him." So he was killed.
