✧ al-Itikaf and Laylat al-Qadr

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَسَافَرَ وَلَمْ يَعْتَكِفْ فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا»

✧ He used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, then he traveled and did not observe i'tikaf. The following year, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.
